Laura's Tri-ing To Raise Money

Hello and thank you for visiting my fundraising campaign. I have been training for a triathlon - that's swim, bike, run - and would like to dedicate my efforts to the mothers, babies and their families who have had to cross land and water to flee conflict and seek safety. I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate in sports for fun, to push myself to my physical limits because I want to, rather than due to circumstances outside my control.

On the 22nd April I will be completing a "Sprint Distance" triathlon in Malaysia where I currently reside. 4 weeks later I will complete a 15km Trail Run through the mountains north of Kuala Lumpur.

I spend approximately 10 hours a week training for these events, and I spend approximately 15-20 hours a week volunteering my time to Nurture Project International as the Director of People Operations. I not only want to dedicate my physical pursuits to the refugee women and families we support but also my professional pursuits. I am an experienced Business Manager and could think of nothing better than helping Nurture Project grow into a professional and sustainable organisation.

Please support me to support Nurture Project. I promise I will give it my all - both on the track and trail - and in the office.
