Volunteer Position Application
We are thrilled that you would like to apply for a position in the Greece Program. Please read the Frequently Asked Questions below and then go ahead and submit your application. We will be in touch with you soon.
HOW DO I SUBMIT AN APPLICATION?
At the bottom of this page you will see the application form.
- Ensure that you have the correct documentation for the position you wish to apply for here.
- Select the position you would like to apply for from the drop down menu.
- View the calendar for availability, then select the dates that you would like to volunteer.
- Enter your details into the application form.
- Submit your application.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION?
After you submit your application, you will receive an automated email from us to confirm that it has been received. If you do not receive this automated email, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm.
Next, we will review your application and be in contact, via email, with notification that your application has been approved, or with a request for more information or clarification of information. In some cases we might require proof of certifications or other qualifications prior to approval.
If you've been approved you will be assigned to our Post Approval Volunteer Coordinator who will walk you through the compliance and training requirements for your role. You can also join the Nurture Project International Volunteers facebook group to connect with past, present and future volunteers.
Then, two weeks before your departure to Greece, you will be assigned to our Field Transition Coordinator who will walk you through the final details and logistics, provide you with situational updates in the field, and introduce you to our Country Manager and the appropriate coordinator you will be working with.
WHAT IF I WANT TO APPLY FOR MORE THAN ONE ROLE?
In many circumstances, you may be qualified for more than one position in our program. In this case, please submit an application for just one position, but make note of your interest in other roles in the notes section. We can then assess our needs and consider you for the other roles as well.
WHAT IF MY APPLICATION IS NOT APPROVED?
If your application is not approved, you will be notified, via email, with details regarding why your application was not approved. Common causes are that we have surplus volunteers, or that your type of qualifications are not currently required in the field. In these cases we will often look for other options for you such as other dates, other roles or other opportunities to support the program.
WHAT IF MY CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE AFTER I'VE SUBMITTED MY APPLICATION AND I CAN'T VOLUNTEER ANYMORE?
We understand that sometimes circumstances change. If you have submitted your application but can no longer volunteer with us, we are most happy to suspend or delete your application. You are not liable for any costs or commitments if you are no longer able to commit to volunteering.
However, we do hope that you have read all of the available information and are serious about volunteering upon submitting an application due to the amount of time involved in processing and training volunteers. Our Volunteer Operations team are volunteers themselves.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION NEEDED TO SUBMIT MY APPLICATION?
Please read through the entire application form below prior to beginning it. There is not an option to save it and finish it later.
You are required to provide referee details, certification details and lots of other information, so please ensure you have the information you need and time available to complete your application in one sitting.
